The Warsaw Book Fair: the trade show
The Warsaw Book Fair was established on the initiative of Polish publishers and a Warsaw-based Fair organizer, Murator EXPO. Since 2010, it has been organized by the company Targi Książki, established for this very purpose and including the following publishers: BELLONA, BOSZ, Agencja Edytorska EZOP, Jeden Świat, Firma Księgarska Olesiejuk, Poligraf, Oficyna Wydawnicza RYTM, Wydawnictwo Salezjańskie, Sonia Draga, Towarzystwo Autorów i Wydawców Prac Naukowych Universitas, ZYSK i S-ka, as well as Murator EXPO.
The Warsaw Book Fair is constantly developing, owing to the professional and effective cooperation between the publishing market and the exhibition industry in the service of books and their readers. The 4th edition made a highly successful debut at the National Stadium. The 7th Warsaw Book Fair and the accompanying 10th Science and Academic Book Fair ACADEMIA gathered 815 exhibitors from 25 countries, as well as 1017 authors and more than 70,000 visitors. The four-day event also featured nearly 1500 events: meetings, discussions, debates, presentations of new releases and bestsellers, competitions, literary and artistic attractions, and exhibitions.
