Smart ID Show: the trade show

Israel is well known as a world centre for R&D and Smart innovations in the fields of Communication, Cellular, Internet, Medical, Biometrics, RFID, Smart Card and Data Collection Technologies. At the same time, Israel is also a fast-growing consumer market for these products due to its security needs, HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) and anti-terror activities. In 2013 the Israeli government started to implement its policy to issue Biometric Identity Cards to all citizens. The introduction of Biometric cards means a revolution in the local market. Public organisations, institutions, government and private service suppliers will need to switch to systems which can read and process the data on the Smart ID Cards. Digital Identity is in sharp focus, and will remain so in the near future.
Israel is joining the rest of the world, which is already in the process of adopting Digital ID products and technologies. Digital ID needs to be standardised world wide. The Biometric ID must be readable not only in the country of issue, but also wherever the individual may travel.
The economic potential for companies already developing and supplying Digital ID products and technologies is huge.
