Live an innovative experience in SITEX

SITEX is a special event where visitors can purchase, live an exclusive and test some of the innovative technologies and products in the market. We've been talking with Patrice Yeo, the Marketing Assistant from Project Management, about the novelties we will find on the show floor.

You have thematic zones. Could you highlight any activity of each zone?

At Smart Home, consumers will be able to discover the added convenience and benefits of the smart technologies that incorporate into the daily lives of the consumers. There will be demonstrations, presentations and guided tours that will happen at the Smart Home Showroom to showcase the capabilities of the products.

At Adventure IT, activists will be able to test their flexibility and creativity during the free play sessions at MegaAir and CrazyBounce. In collaboration with GoPro, the Official Action Camera for SITEX 2016, activists will be able to get their personalised video experiences after each session at the CrazyBounce Structure.

At the Gaming Arena, consumers will be able to take part in gaming competitions as well as for onsite activities which feature virtual reality racing, Counter-Strike competition whereby consumers will be able to try out and buy the gaming systems. At the same time, there will also be new gaming product launchers that will be launched at SITEX!

At Tech Zone, it consists of SITEX Innovation Alley which consists of local startups, IMDA Pixel Labs, NTU Intelligent System showcase. At SITEX Innovation Alley, consumers will be able to learn about the latest products and services that the local and international startups' had initiated. With IMDA Pixel Labs, it consists of activities that connect people of all ages. At NTU Intelligent System Showcase, Nanyang Technological University's Intelligent Systems Team will be showcasing all of its' robots at a consumer lifestyle show! Even though Tech Zone is a new zone, it promises to excite and engage.

What is the connection between the all thematic zones?

Like the tagline for SITEX, SITEX is a Digital Playground whereby it offers more than just electronics, it embraces the lifestyle aspect whereby consumers are able to relate to in their lives. At these thematic zones, consumers will be able to experience and engage in the experiential zones with the exciting activation at all zones!


Why did you choose to introduce DanceTex in SITEX?

DanceTex is a dance-tech fusion competition whereby dancers are able to incorporate wearable technology into their dance routines. With the recent trends of smartwatches and fitness watches, DanceTex is a wearable technology segment whereby dancers are able to infuse tech into their passion and how tech is able to improve their training regiment during dance classes as well as managing fitness and passion, and health with the features of the wearable gadgets.

SITEX attracts many segments. What is your visitor profile?

At SITEX 2016, we are targeting the techies formed largely of PMETs and white collar professionals. At the same time, we are driving brand recruitment, ladies as our potential visitors.

How will the exhibition help the exhibitors in their business?

With the new local startups, the exhibitors could explore the services that the startups have to offer and how it can shape their business in the long run with the latest trends in technology. As for exhibitors, exhibitors will be able to increase brand awareness by showcasing their latest products, technology and value-added benefits to their target audience. Also, they will be able to test market reactions to new product launches and receive feedback regarding the products through direct communication with their potential consumers.
