Seanergy: the trade show
Dunkerque, a dynamic and competitive euroregion, is located less than 300km from Europe’s largest cities (Paris, Brussels, Rotterdam and London, and is a prime point of entry to Europe with the largest French port complex. The size and diversity of Dunkerque’s production and exchange installations make it a European scale energy hub where energy transition projects have been initiated of which the creation of an Offshore Wind Farm.
Last November, the country’s prime minister Edouard Philippe and the minister of ecological transition, Francois de Rugy, announced a call for tenders to pre-selected candidates in connection with the development of a roughly 500-MW offshore wind project off the coast of Dunkerque. The candidates will have four months to make their offers. Then, the winner is expected to be selected in mid-2019, with the goal of commissioning the wind farm in 2022.
