The 2015 Dutch Restoration Fair showcases the quality of the providers of products and services. It presents the vast knowledge that exists in the heritage sector that is the envy of much of the world. It hosts debates on current regulatory developments – or indeed the lack of rules. “How can we continue to monitor the quality of restoration work?” It discusses the consequences of working according to rules and guidelines: “what on earth is a URL?”The 2015 Dutch Restoration Fair is not just another trade fair.It is a place where everyone who appreciates or has an interest in cultural heritage can meet. From windmills to almshouses, from tjalks to TEE trains, from glass negatives to Bakelite switches, and from classic English garden designs to contemporary archaeological presentations. New and innovative products are displayed, debates held, advice given, techniques illustrated, and there is every opportunity to meet and relax, all in a remarkable setting - 1931.
