New York Fashion Week Womenswear - Spring: the trade show
As summer enters its last month, the fashion industry is preparing for another season of shows, but it is starting with a New York Fashion Week that is a bit different from the past seasons.
The most important news for spring collections is that NYFW will have a shorter official schedule, up to six days of shows on the calendar published by the Council of Fashion Designers of America. The initiative to cut the schedule was led by CFDA nuevo s new president, designer Tom Ford, who assumed the role of lifelong CFDA head, Diane von Furstenberg, in June. Following his appointment as president of CFDA, Ford said that reinventing NYFW was a priority.
