Fairs take place in Essen on more than 100 days a year. The MESSE ESSEN programme comprises roughly 50 fairs and exhibitions. 13 of them are international leading fairs. These take place in 18 halls and our Galeria. Approx. 13,000 exhibitors make use of the Essen fair complex every year. Almost one in four of them comes from abroad. The exhibition area covers 110,000 square metres and all fair halls are directly linked to each other.
This top-class fair venue has enjoyed steady development. For example, turnover has doubled in the last 10 years. MESSE ESSEN is situated in the region in Germany with the strongest economy and highest population. It is central and easy to reach. Every year up to 1.5 million visitors come to Essen from roughly 100 countries to maintain contacts and forge new ones. MESSE ESSEN ranks among the best fair venues with the most visitors and is in the top ten in Germany.
