Could you explain about it?We have launched for this edition a business matchmaking service: MCE CONNECT, an online platform to facilitate trade show appointment scheduling. Is a matchmaking tool designed to optimize meeting opportunities for both Visitors and Exhibiting Companies.
It works in a very easy way: exhibitors and pre-registered attendees can create a detailed personal profile, prioritize the categories and products they are interested in, search through recommended contacts, and organize their schedule so they can make the most of their time at the show. We are aiming to offer our participants a bespoke service as well as new networking opportunities.
What are the latest trends in housing comfort industry? and will these trends be exhibit also in the fair?
The concept behind this edition is technological innovation, meaning, in particular, the digitalisation of products and processes, and the integration of the electric and thermal energy systems, and of conventional and renewable energy sources.
Cutting-edge systems to ensure adequate air quality, comfort, and energy saving and resource optimisation for the built environment needs: from an individual residence to a block of flats, from a warehouse to shopping malls.
Technology integration for thermal comfort in the built environment is the common thread running through the latest ground-breaking solutions in the following sectors: heating, air-conditioning, refrigeration, valves, components, sanitary technology, water treatment, renewable energies, domotics and building automation.
What news have you prepared for the 2018 edition? What are the highlights?
We have planned many new initiatives for MCE – MOSTRA CONVEGNO EXPOCOMFORT 2018. From Factory4.now, a “live” event that will show each stage of next-generation manufacturing processes, to a special focus on MEP BIM, an integrated tool to help you design, fabricate and install mechanical, electrical and plumbing building systems that represents a breakthrough in the construction sector.
From a new format for “Percorso Efficienza & Innovazione”, with a selection - made by the Polytechnic University of Milan, ABC Department - of high performing products and solutions released from exhibiting companies that represents a unique opportunity for a large audience made up of engineers, designers, technicians and companies to face with innovation that is essential to discover a new way of building.
To "that's smart", an area dedicated to Home & Building automation, Smart metering, Smart grid, Renewable electricity, and remote control apps for plant installations. Amongst the novelties for this year’s edition we have set up a new promotion project, Country Partner, choosing India as a special guest with a collective area, a commercial delegation and institutional representatives.
For the first time ever, MCE will be open to the general public featuring an amazing lively event to be held from 10 to 18 March, in Piazza Gae Aulenti in Milan. A unique opportunity to bring end users’ attention to reduce daily energy waste.
What are the advantages of exhibiting at Mostra Convegno Expocomfort 2018?
MCE is the world’s largest exhibition for residential and industrial installations, air-conditioning and renewable energies and represents a unique opportunity for exhibitor’s to meet more than 150,000 professional operators from all over the world.
The strength of MCE is in its consolidated international outlook: by now has registered an attendance of over 2,200 exhibitors, 52 % of whom coming from 54 countries, with a rise in the number of exhibiting companies from Turkey, Egypt and India, Country Guest for this year’s edition.
MCE represents a concrete platform where supply and demand meet and where face-to-face contact confirms the aim of the show to promote products and exploring new business opportunities.
Can you give us some tips to take the best out of visiting this event?
I suggest visitors to plan carefully their visit at MCE in order to find products and solutions that fit their business interest. MCE 2018 will occupy the entire Fiera Milano fairground and will offer a 360 degree view of ground-breaking systems and solutions available on the market in terms of comfort and energy efficiency.
MCE 2018 will also provide a four-days conferences calendar, training courses and collateral initiatives on some of the latest topical issues; a good chance for all the diverse audience of professionals to learn, meet and share best practices and case histories.
Not to be missed the inaugural conference that will take place on March the 13th with the presentation of the Fort Forecasting and Cyclical Report on the Market of Residential and Industrial Installations in Italy from 2010 to 2017, specifically drawn up by CRESME. A unique analysis aiming to provide a snapshot of the size of plant engineering industry in our country: the number of workers, companies, turnover and dynamics. Representatives from industry and institutions will also attend the event and give their authoritative contribution.

Lastly, can you give us some participation results from the last edition?
The last edition of MCE was in 2016 and it closed recording outstanding results: more than 2,018 exhibitors, of whom 45% from overseas in representation of 55 countries. A prestigious stage that welcomed over 155,332 industry professionals, of whom 39,140 travelled from 141 different countries, with an increase of 8% compared to MCE 2014 accounting for 25% of the total number of international trade visitors. As of now, MCE 2018 has already registered over 2,200 exhibitors, 51% of whom from 54 countries. I expect MCE to be again a prestigious international stage, a valuable opportunity for technical, educational exchange and discussion for visitors from all over the world.
