International Book Fair in Krakow: the trade show
October 2016 Edition:
The International Book Fair in Krakow is a cyclical event dedicated to the publishing sector and book lovers. The Fair is annually visited by guests from all over Poland, readers from Malopolska, Silesia, Podkarpacie, Podlasie, Pomerania Region and also from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Austria, Italy, Lithuania and Hungary. In 2014 the event hosted 696 publishers (form 20 countries), 600 authors, 300 journalists and was attended by 60,000 visitors. It is the biggest event of this kind in Poland. The trade fair space is divided into thematic sectors: Salon of Academic Publishers, Salon of Religious Publishers, New Technology Salon, Salon of Regions and Salon of Children Publishers. The event is accompanied by numerous workshops, industry panels and meeting with authors. 19th International Book Fair in Krakow will be held between 22nd and 25th October 2015.
