Flanders Expo

Flanders Expo Maaltekouter 1
Ghent (BE)

Flanders Expo offers a total covered area of 54,000 m2 and is thus the 40th largest exhibition complex in the world and the second largest in Belgium. With its exceptional location and immense car parks it can cope with tens of thousands of visitors simultaneously. The complex consists of eight halls. Hall 1, the largest hall lies in the middle. On the east and west sides there are 3 identical smaller side halls (halls 2, 4, 6 and halls 3, 5, 7). Hall 8 is a later addition and is extremely well suited to sporting events, mega concerts and all sorts of happenings because of its exceptional dimensions. Due to a unique building technique all eight halls are free of supporting columns. There is an absolutely clear unimpeded view everywhere and all the floor space can be used flexibly. All the halls are linked. Halls 1, 2, 3 and 8 have a separate cloakroom and their infrastructure offers independent access so that different events can take place at the same time. Hall 1 has a large restaurant. Halls 4 and 5 have a bistro. In front of the halls lies the stylish front building. Visitors pass through an elegant garden with fountains before entering the building. The modular seminar rooms and a welcoming reception room lie on the ground floor. On the first floor the Forum extends over an area of 850 m². This magnificent room stands below the impressive glass dome that is the symbol of Flanders Expo. If you decide to use only the Forum your visitors enter directly via the main entrance. Flanders Expo is ideally situated, with access from Exit 14 of the E40 Brussels-Ostend. The historic city centre of Ghent is only a short distance away; the Holiday Inn Hotel is our closest neighbour. Are you planning an excursion in Ghent? Your guests can park their cars in our car parks. The tram takes them to the city and back. By Car The large car parks of Flanders Expo can be accessed directly via Exit 14 of the E40 motorway (Brussels - Ostend). By public transport You take the train to the Ghent St.-Pieters train station. From there tramline 1 brings you close to our buildings. Visit De Lijn or NMBS for detailed information. International visitors Brussels airport in Zaventem is only 50 km from Flanders Expo. The train connection from the airport brings you to Ghent in no time. Using the high-speed trains from Paris and London you can also quickly get to Ghent via Brussels. Parking facilities Flanders Expo has over 6,000 parking spaces for cars and 50 for buses.
