What features have you prepared for this 2019 edition?
There are some fantastic features this year at FIREX, the BRE Group will be hosting the LPCB RedBook Pavilion, a high-profile destination where visitors can speak with manufacturers of quality certified products. There will also be live demonstrations throughout the show, including sprinkler demonstrations at the Sprinkler and Water Suppression Zone. Over 100 exhibitors have already confirmed including brand new companies InproEurope, TBA Protective Technologies Ltd., The A1S Group, Xylem Water Solutions UK Ltd. & many more.
The event presents a multifaceted programme with workshops at FIREX International, and special events. Which of the activities do you think are a must for the visitor or which of them do you highlight?
Leading experts will provide the latest advice and guidance on critical topics. Over three days you will have access to 25+ hours of free conference sessions in the Expertise and Guidance Theatre and FPA Infozone, you can also book to attend the co-located Tall Buildings Conference. The seminars are essential for discovering the major issues and challenges facing the fire protection industry, including the ongoing Grenfell inquiry, how to install sprinklers and passive fire protection.

What is the exhibitor profile?
Manufacturers and distributors big and small, from across the world exhibit at FIREX. Exhibitors produce and distribute a wide range of products including, alarms, fire signaling systems, sprinkler heads and smoke detectors. In addition, there is a strong emphasis on structural fire protection which includes fire doors, fire stopping, sealants and fire-resistant glazing. Exhibitors include leading manufacturers such as Apollo Fire Detectors, Advanced, Fire Fighting Enterprises, Klaxon, Hochiki, C-Tec, Kentec, AICO, Securiton, Vimpex, GERDA and Detector Testers.
What is the visitor profile?
FIREX has visitors from all stages of the buying chain: installers, fire safety engineers, manufacturers, end-users, distributors and consultants. Last year 35% of visitors had an annual purchasing budget of over £100,000,000. In 2018, visitors included: Head of Fire Safety - Heathrow Airport, Asset Protection Manager – Michelin Tyre PLC, Senior Risk Engineer – Zurich Insurance PLC., and President & CEO – Simplex Aerospace.
Can you give us some participation results from the last edition? How many visitors attended? From how many different nationalities?
Over 18,000 fire safety professionals attended last year’s event from 70 nationalities, which was an amazing 12% increase from 2017.
Lastly, regarding the exhibitor, how many stand exhibitors participate in the last edition? From how many different nationalities they are?
Last year there were 165 exhibiting companies from 29 countries, and the top 5 industry sectors were: Construction, Manufacturers, Installers, Distributors and Government. This is a number we hope to exceed again as the show goes from strength to strength.
