"Fiera di Genova" fairground extends over an area very close to the city centre and directly overlooking the sea. The overall project was accomplished by Luigi Carlo Daneri.
The fairground's overall surface - including the multistorey pavilions, the new, recently enlarged marina, the basins and the outside yards - exceeds 300 thousand square metres. However, the most significant figures are probably the 100 thousand square-metre water surface and the 8-km-long pathways overlooking the sea, which make this centre really unique at a global level.
The fairground includes four pavilions (S, C, B, D), a congress centre, service facilities, large outdoor areas, and two marinas which - in the configuration set up for the International Boat Show - can host more than 430 boats up to eighty metres long (like the Maltese Falcon, the guest of honour during Genoa 46th International Boat Show), and even more in case of boats having, on average, smaller lengths.
