After the Luminara of S. Ranieri and S. Ubaldo, both popular events and that every year present a very rich program and after their respective successes, the Viale delle Piagge will be the stage of another important event that will take place from 25 to 27 September entitled Fiera degli Scalzi.
«That of Sant'Ubaldo is part of one of the most important and heartfelt festivals by the district of San Michele degli Scalzi and the city of Pisa and represents a moment of opening of the spring season, in this case the Fiera degli Scalzi is destined to represent the autumn season.
Pisa, or rather, the Viale delle Piagge, one of the most evocative green lungs of Pisa will be filled with colors and scents, colorful harmonies of nature that will transform the suggestive avenue into a great showcase of Italian food and wine products, artisan and commercial activities of Tuscany, furniture, environmental technologies and renewable energy, earthmoving machinery and equipment, car dealerships and industrial vehicles.
Next to the main protagonists of the event there will also be horticultural companies that will exhibit plants for the upcoming autumn transplants, seeds, equipment and publications for gardening and cultivation of the winter garden, also will be placed, always along the avenue the so-called "empty cellars", in fact part of the path of the Avenue will be enriched with modern objects and many curiosities.
Also in this case there will be numerous collateral initiatives, from the presentation of books to exhibitions, theatrical performances and musical performances organized by the Piagge Committee, which in symbiosis with the companies will transform for three days the banks of the praised Pisan river, in a large exhibition and entertainment area for all those who visit the fair, A good opportunity to enjoy the sun and the summer among the scents of nature.
The avenue from Ponte della Vittoria to the Church of S. Michele degli Scalzii including the green area of the SMSbiblio (about two kilometers of tree-lined avenue and 3,000 square meters of greenery) will be closed to traffic to make room for the stands of commercial, artisan, food and wine activities in the province of Pisa.
