Feria de Loja: the trade show
We are ready to celebrate the 190th edition of the Loja Fair, the largest fair in Ecuador.
The Loja Fair has been held continuously since 1829, when the Liberator Simón Bolívar decreed it with the aim of generating integration among the countries of Greater Colombia, viewing Loja as a nodal point for commercial exchange and cultural promotion, constituted as the first fair in South America.
Since 2015, the Loja Fair included two strategic axes to its attributes: entrepreneurship and innovation providing the opportunity for more entrepreneurs to showcase their technological projects, improvement of processes and products, new brands and services, etc. The impact on the region's entrepreneurship ecosystem, as well as its impact on job creation and trade movement, has been growing in recent years.
The Loja fair has been increasing the number of exhibitors during the last years, this has allowed to specialize the fair event and creating new alternative exhibition and commerce for the visitor. During 2017 we have 1362 exhibitors. The number of visitors has increased in recent editions, reaching 681 177 visits in 2017 and more 702,000 in 2018.
Loja Fair, from tradition to innovation.
