In 2016, when the seeds of this congress were being planted during the Neurogenetics Meeting, it was difficult to imagine that we had many interested in this area of knowledge. Today, genetics has invaded the practices and chairs of neurology of adults and children and neurology has never been more necessary for the practice of doctors and geneticists in Brazil.
