Bcla Conference In Liverpool

The novelties of the next edition

The 39th BCLA (British Contact Lens Association) Clinical Conference and Exhibition, is expected to signify a new chapter for the Association and its members. We are working closely with our industry partners and academic and business consultants to ensure that our new three-day programme appeals to as wide an audience as possible.

The highlight of the programme will be the Gala Dinner and Industry Awards in the magnificent Liverpool Anglican Cathedral – free CET workshops and a roll call of the most eminent speakers from the global contact lens community.

There are more practical workshops than ever before, 15 in total and free for the first time, which will cover topics such as binocular vision, dry eye, keratoconus, sclerals, gonioscopy, presbyopia, communication, slit lamp techniques and more. Many of the workshops mirror the education sessions so delegates can put their newly acquired knowledge into practice.

The programme also includes a day dedicated to specialist contact lenses, and a ‘live’ orthokeratology contact lens fitting event on stage, with a follow-up ‘morning after’.
