Seminario Internacional Agricultura Orgánica Araucanía Chile: the trade show
About AOA Chile Born by the vision of Agro Mapu Business, Daniela Parra M. Veterinaria, Juan Pablo Ing. Agronomist and its Founder, Rodrigo Rojas Cheuquenao, who saw the need to connect small
farmers with their supply chain and service providers.
From this idea, and as a way of concrete our vision, it was raised to hold the 1st International Seminar on Organic Agriculture in the region of La Araucanía, for which we have the support of the Municipality of Carahue, Municipality of Padre Las Casas and the
Catholic University of Temuco (UCT).
After the success achieved in the 1st Seminar, where we had the participation of more than 600 people, among farmers, technicians, professionals, academics and students; today we pose as a challenge to organize the 2nd Seminar of Organic Agriculture Araucanía Chile 2019, to be held on October 21 and 22, 2019 in the Aula Magna of the Universidad Catolica Temuco, for which we have already committed the support of UCT and the Municipalida d Father Las Casas.
The objective we share is to position the region as a hub for the development of organic agriculture in Latin America, promoting both crop development and certification and trade inside and outside the country, allowing to open new development prospects for small agriculture, especially in indigenous communities. For this we consider it relevant to be able to access the progress that exists in this area in other countries, which are leaders in the development of organic agriculture.
